Pizotes on a road (Costa Rica)
Pizotes are friendly forest animals with a long nose and tail up, quite a funny sight. But hide your food, they can smell anything good and will go for it. One of them entered in my car to eat my bananas while i was taking a photo of the other ones.
The english name is White-nosed Coati (Nasua narica), and they are also called Antoon, and Tejón in Mexico.
They are not rodents but procyonids, members of the raccoon family. They are closer to bears than to rodents.
