thanks. i sometimes use masking tape and zip-lock bags to protect my equipment from the dust, but there is no 100% protection. so equipment suffers. this is the price to pay! (for making good photos at BM).
Your photos are amazing. I got my ticket and am going for the first time this year. I'm beaming with the anticipation of what will be an incredible adventure. I'm a budding photographer. So naturally I plan on taking photos. I was wondering if you used your dslr/slr in this dusty environment. If so, how did you protect it?
i recommend that you upload your photos on flickr, and tag them appropriately. also you should post them to the burning man groups. then many people will see them and will comment on them.
love you're work. 2010 was my first year and I got some great photos. I would have liked to have shared them with BM but didn't know how to go about it. I would like to email you a couple of my best efforts to see what you think. I want an objective eye. Friends opinions don't count because they always like anything I shoot. :). I'm not asking for a giant critique, just something like, "Hey, those are pretty good." Or "They are OK but you need more practice." Or "I don't have time for this." I used my Nikon D-300 and a Panosonic Lumix (when the dust was bad). Can't afford to ruin that Nikon. I really enjoyed viewing your great collection of photos. You're a true artist.
