Photos of spelunkers exploring Racer Cave in Gunung Mulu National Park (Borneo)
This is a small cave that Mulu Park guides use to evaluate if people can be taken in deeper caves that have more technical difficulties, like "Clearwater Connection". 3 people in our group of 8 didn't pass the "Racer Cave" test.
Racer Cave is small but a bit challenging. It has a few vertical walls that are 6m to 8m high, equiped with knotted ropes (no need for rappeling), and some nice concretion formations, including very large drapes and a shower-head.
Our guide that day was Ipoi Lawin, and we were 8 visitors in the group.
