Photos of Deer Cave in Gunung Mulu National Park (Borneo Island)
Deer Cave is a passage about 150 m (500 feet) in diameter and about 1 Km (0.6 Miles) long, opened on both end. It was, for many years, considered the largest single cave passage in the world.
Deer Cave is home to about 4 million Wrinkle Lipped Bats that live in colonies high up in the cave ceiling. Every evening all the bats fly out in huge swarms and clouds to feed. View my video of the swarm of bats leaving Deer Cave.
