Allahu Akbar!
This is the celebration of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, Prophet Muhammad's Birthday.
Milad un-Nabi is a gazetted holiday in India and is also known as Nabi Day and Mawlid. It is the occasion of large parades by the Muslim population.
Actually, only Muslim men are parading in the street. Muslim women are not allowed to participate in those public festivities.

I took these photos on January 25, 2013 on the road between Lucknow and Allahabad, probably in Raebareli.
If you can recognize whether this is in Raebareli, please post a comment.
