The mountain road along the rugged Dhauliganga Valley is not for the faint of heart. The road is carved off vertical cliffs, like on this photo.
The little blue dot is one of the motorcyclists who were riding with me on that day.
The slippery road is very narrow and literally along a vertical cliff, with of course no guard rails, and occasional rocks falling from above.
This is upstream from Joshimath, in the valley of one of the headstreams of the Ganges river.
