Earthen floor and steps in front of village house (India)
Dry mud or clay is widely used for construction in rural areas of India, where people are very poor.
The street was brick paved but the pavement is now falling apart.
I suppose this monument is an old Hindu shrine, but it could also be an old Muslim tomb.
There was another similar monument in the village.
This photo is part of a series that I took in a small rural Indian village.
