Gas Piping - Richmond Kaiser Naval Shipyard (near San Francisco)

Those color-marked pipes were used to provide gases used for metal soldering and cutting (acetylene, oxygen) as well as steam and water. The entire shipyard was piped like that in galleries located under the quays.
