During a Hindu funeral, the corpses of the deceased are washed in the Bagmati River near the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu (Nepal)
The corpses will then be cremated in a funeral pyre along the Ghats, in the Hindu tradition.
This was at dawn, during the Shivaratri festival ('Great Night of Shiva').
