Because it was Easter season, they always had three crosses in front of each church. Three because according to the legend, Jesus was crucified with two thieves..

The Christian people in Northern Sulawesi are building an incredible number of churches, I think to show Muslim people that they are more religious than them. And all their Protestant churches have crazy modern architecture.
