Solar Eclipse Chaser in Pulau Dua Beach, Sulawesi Island, Indonesia.

That's where I saw the total solar eclipse of March 9, 2016. This village was right on the central line of the path of totality, and the weather was perfect, with completely clear sky.

This guy had a lot of equipment, including an electronic controller to trigger various programmed exposition during the eclipse, automatically. Unfortunately his system did not trigger as it was supposed to, and he did not get a single photo of the eclipse!

On the other hand, I managed to take a pretty good photo of the eclipse, using my very simple camera setup.
