Salt Mine worker at Salinas Grandes (Jujuy, Argentina)
This is is one of the largest salt flats (dry salt lake) in the world, located in northern Argentina, not far from the famous Salar de Uyuni (Bolivia).
The salt flats are used for mining rock salt, and worker's conditions are very tough. Because of the intense sun reflected on the white salt, workers need total sun protection with a face mask.
