Hill-tribe man checking a live piglet at the market in Mèo Vac (Vietnam).
I think I'll take this one!
Mèo Vac is the capital of the remote, rugged and sparsely populated mountainous district of Mèo Vac, in the Hà Giang Province in the Northeast region of Vietnam, close to the China border.
Like all district capitals in rural regions, Mèo Vac has a very lively and colorful market where hill tribe people from all the surrounding villages come to buy and sell their products and animals.
